Tusker Na Rugby

This is what KBL had in mind when they decided to back Team Kenya. The National Sevens Circuit which was making a return after a two-year Covid-induced break lived up to expectations as fans turned up in their numbers to cheer on their favorite teams at each of the tournament’s six legs.

Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) through its flagship brand Tusker sponsored each of the six tournaments with Ksh. 2 Million, taking the overall sponsorship for the circuit to Ksh. 12 million. They included; Kabeberi Sevens, Christie Sevens, Driftwood Sevens, Prinsloo Sevens, Dala Sevens, and Kakamega Sevens.

Through the sponsorship, Tusker which is celebrating its 100-year milestone secured the rights to be the event’s Official Alcohol Beverage partner, and also sponsored the events’ after-parties…and you best believe the sherehe was amazing.

The return of the Sevens Circuit was received with much joy as fans thronged the different venues across the country, with many expressing their delight at the return, as well as staying on for the after-party, which was headlined by a host of top-ranking deejays.

The Tusker brand is synonymous with Kenyan rugby and has a rich history of supporting the sport locally with the aim of raising its standards. The sponsorship was also part of KBL’s commitment to continue supporting sports in the country as part of its centenary celebrations.
